Dan Jul/26/2010 10:38Thank's "No!!!" that linear blend mode tip worked an absolute treat. I'm working a high res version and they did the stars in the tutorial made them too small to see. setting the copy to linear light worked perfectly
alfredo huet Apr/29/2010 21:26koooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooollllllllllllllllll

samrat Feb/11/09 17:27nice
harm Oct/17/08 20:00You can also use minimize on the top layer with 1 pixel. You get less stars and more random.
tanisha Aug/5/08 02:36This is realy nice and easy way to make to stars.
Suman May/27/08 17:00Sweet n simple i like that

NO!!! Mar/19/08 23:48If there are toomany stars, set the layer blend of the copied layer to linear light.
kek Jan/30/08 00:45Very nice and easy way to make stars. If u think there is to many stars, or if u dont think there are enough, u can simply go to Image -> Levels, and just play around a bit there.
RP Jan/27/08 07:17Discovered this trick on another site, but this is much simpler to understand! I suggest adding different coloured gradients to give the stars a more "space" like feel. I found a three colour vertical gradient going from green, to blue to black works brilliantly.
milind Dec/21/07 22:55Oh ! Its very simple
ulf Dec/18/07 22:23Awesome
Mel Oct/21/07 01:07how do you get bigger stars?
Tiberius Aug/14/07 14:30Afterwards, you can create a gradient map to give the stars differnet colours. Keep the stars very light shades of blue, yellow and red for the best results.
Haitch Jul/30/07 08:10Think this is a fab tut, so so SO simple! never would have thought to do it this way! Thanks alot! Cant understand the complaints this must be one of the easiest tuts to read! Great stuff & Keep up the good work! xXx

Aki May/27/07 04:34Not if I can just find a simple, attractive planet Earth tut and some other stuffs I'll easilly be able to make a cool gundam wallpaper. <3 Thnx a bunch! *gives a cookie*
Last Dance May/14/07 06:11This is a great tut, it gives a very nice effect, although when i did it i added more duplicated overlay layers. Great tut thnx ;)
