This is a very simple tutorial showing you how to create a nice bronze text effect. Like any other tutorials, this can be applied to anything to give it a bronze effect

Start a new document and fill the background with white. Select the type tool and create a text (any color).

 

Add Dropshadow

Add Gradient

Left to right: #8B742D -> #FEEEB0

Add Bevel Embossed

Highlight mode: D4B969
Shadow mode: FFD972

Add Stroke:

Stoke Color: #756930

even better when u change the gloss contour in the bevel section to the 2nd row, 2nd from left choice.... great tutorial !

If u use smudge u can get a melted bronze text :D

If you add a Inner Glow with color #ffffbe, I would say it looks even better.
